Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on March 16, 1984, on the island of Kildare Ireland. She is one of the most successful and well-known comedians. She has appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) more popularly known as Aisling Bea, is an Irish actress writer and comedian. Bea started her stand-up career in 2011after having appeared in small parts on several Irish television shows and British series since 2009. She began appearing regularly on sketch comedy and sitcoms from 2012. In 2012, she began to regularly appear in panel shows following her win of an award for The Edinburgh Comedy Awards. In 2016 through 2017, she was the team captain for 8 Out of 10 Cats and is also a frequent contestant on the spin-off 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The parents of her are Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. She has one younger sister, Sinead. It was only the second woman to be awarded So You Think You're Funny in the year 2012. Bea is her last name in memory of her dead father. Aisling Claiodhnadh-Sullivan was born on March 16, 1984, from Kildare, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian, an equine vet who took his own life when Bea became one of the victims of suicide. Bea was informed of his death only at 13 years old. In 2017, Bea wrote an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's relatives and adopted her stage name Bea to pay tribute. Bea (n e Moloney) was, as well as their younger brother Sinead was born by Helen the teacher and jockey trainer who was professionally jockey. Her family were obsessed with racing and horses. Bea began her career as a tour guide at the Irish National Stud. However Bea realized at an early age that racing wasn't the right fit for her.
