Aaliyah Dana Haaughton soared to fame after releasing her debut album Age Ain't Nothing More Than a Number in 1994. At the age of 15 the album was awarded Gold status. R. Kelly heavily influenced this collaboration, and helped to bring the artist up to the top of the charts. In 1996, she teamed up with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland on her album, One In A Million, featuring the number one hit track If Your Girl Only knew. After the debut of the album Aaliyah received international recognition as an R&B performer. The year 2000 saw her co-starred with the legendary martial artist Jet Li for the film Romeo Must Die. Her other noteworthy works include Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. Commercials for her show have included big brands, like Volvo. She is a resident of Los Angeles where she continues to work as an actor.
