Heidi Klum, born on the 1st of June 1973 in Bergisch Gladbach Germany. She was the daughter of an Erna had a career as a hairdresser. Gunther Kum was an executive for an organization that dealt in cosmetics. Heidi's father was previously the producer of 4711, a perfume company. Heidi was raised within Bergisch Gladbach which is a town with a population of 70,000, just 6 miles to the east of Cologne. Former German-American model, Heidi Klum is now an actress as well as a television host. Karin, a then 18, was a student at the time, and encouraged her to participate in an German Talent Show called Model 92. The German women's newspaper Petra was the sponsor of the show that was part of Thomas Gottschalk's late-night talk show. Klum faced off against 25,000 contestants in Germany, Europe and beyond until she made it to the top three. The winner was awarded $300,000. modeling prize in April 1992.
